Parenting

So I have happened across 2 different articles today about parenting. Both of them popped up in my news feed on Facebook. One talks about Intense Parenting and why parents mothers who do it are so "unhappy" or stressed out. Basically it talks about how you may be putting too much effort in to parenting. Some of it makes sense to me since I am the only one who does anything with my daughter, everything I do revolves around her. Sometimes I am lucky to eat before 5pm, and I KNOW if I had help I would not be anywhere near as stressed out and irritable all day. The other one is Babywise which is basically a method for new parents that can lead to Failure To Thrive, poor weight gain, etc in infants and toddlers. What's your opinion on this? Are you an "intense parent" and if so are you unhappy or stressed out? Did you use the baby wise method? How did it affect your little one if you did?

Baby Shower!

How adorable is this!?! Healthy and adorable baby shower snack!! All you need is a watermelon, a cantaloupe, sliced strawberries, grapes, blueberries, and an orange sliced in circles. Oh and toothpicks and the passie! Here are a couple of more for a little girl!

Then you can throw some of that fruit in the blender with some Vanilla Profit and make yummy shakes!

Summer Storms

Sure are nice, but do they have to happen every single evening!? Lol seriously for the past week or possibly longer it has stormed every evening. Anyways, do you have summer plans? I am wanting to go to the beach horribly badly. I wasn't too sure about wearing my bikini even though it has been 3 years since I had my daughter. Luckily though I found It Works! Turtle, Turtle!

How freakin cute! Have you seen these "Turtle Burgers?" Would you ever make this? Watch a video of someone making it? Eat it? Just make a burger, wrap it in bacon, stick in some hotdogs, throw it on the grill for 20-30 minutes. Yeah not exactly the healthiest thing out there but its adorable! Plus you'll be fine if you take fat fighters before hand :D lol. Seriously though its ok to indulge every now and then!

I am not too sure about the 20-30 minutes on the hot dogs, I think I would try to find a way to put them in on the last like 10 minutes maybe. I myself am just not a fan of blackened hot dogs. I imagine the hotdogs are stuck in the meat patty though. Ah well they look yummy!

How could you do that to a child?

Vent blog. So yesterday I bought a toddler bed off a local classifieds group. I asked was the bed sturdy because I needed it to replace my daughter's broken bed. She tells me yes, she even had an extra piece made to make it extra sturdy. I told her great because my daughter's is basically falling apart because she is so rough with it bouncing and flopping around. She continues to say oh yes I know how that is blah blah blah. SO I send my dad to go pick it up since I live about 45 minutes away and have no truck. He gets it home to find this

and this is the side board missing a screw. Yet nothing was wrong with this bed when it left her house, it wasn't cracked and it sure wasn't missing a screw and I am childish for thinking she sold me a broken bed. When my dad pulled up they were sitting outside, the man just grabbed it up and loaded it up- did not ask if my dad wanted to look at it at all. My dad gets home with it and goes to unload it and sees all the broken stuff. This is only 3 pictures, there are also 2 smaller support bars missing, the side rails to keep the mattress and child from falling off are missing, and the head board is cracked. How could someone willingly do this to a CHILD then blame the other person!? If I would have been able to go look at this it never would have touched my dad's truck! This just goes to show how sorry people can be, its just plain pathetic and disgusting. I have let several other people know what happened so they know to be wary of buying from her.

WOO HOO!!!

      Yay! The boyfriend got the raise we have been waiting on for 2 months now! No more so much living pay check to pay check! We have a little room to breathe now! Before we would have some struggles there towards the end of the 2 weeks, possibly even have to take some of the rent money we put back to buy food. I mean don't get me wrong all our bills are paid on time and we have food, but you know it would be nice to not have to worry about it right? Also our lease is up in 4 months, so I am now having to look for a new place! I am SO ready to get out of here though! I hate living in an apartment with a small child! It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have obnoxious downstairs neighbors who think we should be quiet and not moving around past 8:30. Either way I have found 2 houses for $100 less a month than this dang apartment. I will never live in an apartment with a small child ever again, it is horrible and not fair on her at all.
     I can't wait until I really get going with this though and we can afford to buy a house. I have the credit for it, my boyfriend doesn't though and he is the one with the income at the moment. This is my biggest reason for joining It Works and Bellanonna! I want to buy a house within the next 2 years! I want to have one built within the next 5 years! And I want to paint!! I want to paint my daughter's walls pink, I want to paint my room a nice darker color, I want a black and white kitchen and bathroom! But most of all I don't want to live pay check to pay check anymore. I want to be able to give my daughter what she needs AND wants. I want to be able to go on a family vacation with out worrying if we will be able to pay the bills with the time my boyfriend would have to take off work to go. And I will have it soon! I will never give up on this! This is something I am doing for me and my family and I will stick with it!
     Once I start making enough money I plan to open up a booth at the mall with my products! I can't wait for that! I would be wrapping customers while they shop, giving samples, meeting new people! I really enjoy networking with new people online, I really enjoy doing ladders on facebook- you can come across some pretty amazing stuff there! Just yesterday I found a page that makes custom children sofas, chairs, and ottomans in what ever fabric design you can find! How awesome is that!?
